Players download the Markerra app once, then join any game with a code — a birthday hunt, a team day, a company event or a city route. The My games list keeps several games at once with progress saved separately, and a demo game is inside to try the mechanics.
The version with Studio games and join codes is in preparation. The features below describe that version; store releases currently support the demo game.
The app is available on the App Store and Google Play. Playing is always free for participants.

what the app does
The app carries a game from joining to the finale.
QR and NFC scanning, code words, GPS points, a map with the game zone, progress saved to the player’s account, and game completion. The organizer sets the content and rules of their game; Markerra supplies the technology.
Four point types
A point can be collected with a QR scan, an NFC tag, a typed code word, or by reaching a location (GPS) — types mix freely in one game.
Safety checks
The app enforces the rules: duplicates, unknown markers, and the game zone with real-world GPS tolerance.
Finale and reward
After reaching the game goal, the app shows completion and a code. The organizer communicates any reward rules separately.
